Emanuel Sidea is an investigative journalist based in Sweden. His reports from all over the world cover mainly corruption, illicit business and challenging environments. Most recently he published a non-fiction book about the Syrian war, THE MAN FROM HAREN (in Swedish, 2016), which tells the true story about a Jihadi smuggler and the motives driving both smuggler and the fighters joining ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra. Sidea is a Board Member of Swedish Association for Investigative Journalism, Board Member of EyeOnCorruption, a media NGO and a special correspondent for Scandinavia’s largest crowd-funded media outlet called "The Blank Spot Project". He also teaches investigative journalism and international reporting at Stockholm University and University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
