Dr. Mark Lee Hunter, divides his career between investigative journalism, scholarly research, training and consulting. He is currently an Adjunct Professor and Senior Research Fellow at INSEAD, based in the INSEAD Social Innovation Centre (Paris). He was a founding member of the Global Investigative Journalism Network in 2003, and serves on its coordinating committee, as well as the board of the journalism quarterly Message. Dr. Hunter speaks regularly at international journalism conferences, to multinational corporations, and to news organizations about finding and using information. As an investigative media trainer, he works with ARIJ, France Télévisions, the London Centre for Investigative Journalism, and many other organizations. Hunter has authored or co-authored some 200 investigative reports for publications including the New York Times and Le Figaro. He is the recipient of numerous awards both for his investigative reports and his research on journalism. His manual for investigative reporters, Story-Based Inquiry, was published by UNESCO in 2009, and was translated into the Arabic by ARIJ as the core text for its investigative journalism trainings. In 2013, ARIJ commissioned Dr. Hunter to develop a complete curriculum and teaching plan for a university course in investigative journalism which is now being test-driven by several Arab universities before its release in Arabic and English.

These "stakeholder media" aim to influence their users and other stakeholders -- to change events, as well as chronicle them.
