In this session, Nasr Ul Hadi, an ICFJ fellow, will discuss newsroom management. We may not like it, but most of what newsrooms produce today is a commodity. While our aspirations remain focused on the ideal of enterprise and investigative journalism, our processes and resources continue to buckle under the pressure of publishing a few hundred scratch-the-top reports every day — across media, titles, even languages. Nasr Ul Hadi, is the International Center for Journalists' Knight Fellow in India. He works as a digital innovation consultant to various media and non-media organisations, teaches digital storytelling at a few graduate schools and co-manages the local chapters of Hacks/Hackers, a global community working at the intersection of news and technology.
